Information
Description: 

A delicate fungus with a sticky yellow oval cap when young but flattens with age, becoming cream coloured with just a hint of yellow remaining in the centre. The edge of the cap has minute grooves that allow the bright rust coloured gills to show through.

Habitat: 

Habitat: On weathered herbivore dung, dungy soil, decayed grass leaves or clippings, sawdust, straw and other vegetable debris in woodland and grassland areas, also occasionally as a 'weed' in mushroom beds. Notes: Common and widespread throughout Britain.

Stem: 

The stem is pale yellow when young fading to white as the fungus matures.
