Description: 

A medium sized fungus with a viscid cap, found in coniferous woodland either solitary or in small groups in Autumn.

Distribution: 

Common during Autumn.

Habitat: 

In coniferous woodland.

Cap: 

Convex, smooth and shiny when dry, viscid or sticky when moist, ochreaeous or rust coloured.

Flesh: 

Cap fleshpale lemon-yellow, moderate, soft and unchanging. Stem flesh soft and unchanging, straw-yellow in colour.

Gills: 

Pores are small and circular, pale-yellow or buff, exude droplets that dry darker, tubes are concolorous with pores, adnate or decurrent.

Stem: 

More or less equal, may be swollen and pinkish towards the base, pale yellowish, ring absent, exudes milky droplets.
