Information
Description: 

A medium sized fungus with a slimy, blue-green cap found amongst grass on heaths, pastures and woodland.

Distribution: 

Frequent from Summer to Autumn.

Cap: 

Convex or campanulate, blue-green, pale yellow with age, glutinous with fine cottony scales when young,

Flesh: 

Cap flesh is white, tinged blue and firm, stem flesh is full, stuffed and similar in colouration to the cap flesh. Smell and taste not distinctive.

Gills: 

Adnate, moderately distant, white when young, clay then dark brown with age.

Stem: 

Slender, bluish, covered in white woolly scales below the ring, which is white, later tinged brown from the spores.
