Description: 

A small irregularly kidney-shaped fungus commonly found on twigs and other plant debris in woodland.

Distribution: 

Common from early Summer till Autumn.

Habitat: 

Woodland.

Cap: 

Reniform, or irregularly fan-shaped, white, finely hairy or felty, sometimes lobed.

Flesh: 

Soft, thin and brittle, white in colour.

Gills: 

Decurrent, initially white then pallid buff, fairly crowded.

Stem: 

Rudimentary, lateral or absent.

Additional Notes: 

Inedible.
