Description: 

An ochre-yellow to flesh-coloured, medium sized fungus with repeatedly branching coral-like stems found growing either solitary or more commonly in extensive troops on woody debris in deciduous woodland, favouring Beech, less frequently on coniferous stumps.

Distribution: 

Frequent from Summer till Autumn.

Habitat: 

Broadleaf woodland, less commonly in coniferous woods.

Cap: 

The fruitbody is initially ochraceous, tinged with buss and a darker cinnamon-brown with age, repeatedly branching with forked pointed tips that are at first yellowish then concolorous.

Flesh: 

White, tough and elastic.

Stem: 

Pallid stout stem.
