Description: 

A medium to large Agaric often found in trooping groups on sandy soil, favouring manured sites.

Distribution: 

Infrequent to rare.

Habitat: 

In troops or small groups, preferring sandy soil, often on roadsides..

Cap: 

Whitish, ochraceous tinge, convex when young, flattening with age. Surface is smooth or finely flaky.

Flesh: 

White, thick and firm flesh with a pink tinge on bruising or cutting.

Gills: 

A dull pink when young, free and crowded, turning chocolate-brown or blackish with age

Spores: 

Dark brown

Stem: 

White, smooth, cylindrical, tapering towards the base, white persitent double ring.

Additional Notes: 

Edfible and good.
