Description: 

Small to medium sized Russula that has a pale, pinkish-green cap and grow eithe solitary or in groups on soil, specifically with Birch.

Distribution: 

Infrequent from Summer till Autumn.

Habitat: 

Grows with Birch.

Cap: 

Initially convex, leater flattened, sometimes with a slight umbo, pallid pink with olivaceous or greenish tints, sticky when moist, occasionally striate at the margin on older specimens, cuticle peeling to one third or halfway to the cap centre.

Flesh: 

Cap fleah is thin, granular, white and brittle, stem flesh is also white, fragile and stuffed. Odour of fruit, taste very hot.

Gills: 

Adnexed or slightly decurrent, narrow, brittle, .

Stem: 

More or less equal, white, occasionally with a greyish-rose flush, smooth and slender, ring absent.

Additional Notes: 

Inedible.
