Strengths:
Build, Weather Proofing, Image quality
Weaknesses:
Stiff focuser, Size and weight
If you want a porro with superb image quality then your choice is becoming very limited. The EII is out of production, the Swaro 8x42 is very expensive and the superior E is not the easiest to live with.
You have two choices the fabulous Opticron hrwp | Leupold Cascade 8x42 or for almost half the price this strange shaped odd looking internally focused but with externally adjusting ocular's thing!
It is heavy it is BIG but my god the view is just breath taking truly this bino is in danger of slipping through its entire production life without anyone noticing.
You owe it to yourself to at the very least find someone who owns one and try it in the field this bino rocks, look no further if you value optics over name tags this is the one, an outstanding effort from Pentax every bit as sharp every bit as bright as you could wish for, bin your girlie roofs now!
