Strengths:
lightweight, stable, cheap, strong and quick-release head
Weaknesses:
doesn't spread out quite flat due to long column
The Tripod weighs very little, only 1-2Kg which is quite light for such a stable tripod. The tripod is all metal and is incredibly tough (i have dropped it several times) and extends to about 5'10" with head attached. It spreads quite low but you can buy a shorter column to get it lower (only about £10)
The tripod head is also tough with a quick release fitting that is easy to use and doesn't require tools to affix to the bottom of your camera. the knobs are mostly rubberised so no problems with lack of grip when adjusting the position.
Overall it is the best tripod for £100 i could find. It is generally a special promotion from Mannfrotto so is generally a Xmas product but Jessops are currently selling it in May!
the only problem is carrying but a tripod mount on a backpack or a sling solves that however i just lean it over my shoulder at the moment.
