Strengths:
Layout, clarity, many excellent detailed photos, good distribution maps, details of confusing similar spp,
Weaknesses:
The whole plant orchid photos are hard to reproduce and some suffer slightly for this. Maybe some line drawings too would complement descriptions...?
This is an authoritive work, written by someone who knows and loves these plants. It is backed by English Nature so has a good pedigree. This is a mouth watering book for anyone interested in orchids in the field.
