125W mercury vapour bulb
A robust, well built trap constructed of treated exterior ply with base. Easily assembled, it runs from the mains or 240V generator. Folds flat for easy storage or transportation. Clear plastic sliding top panels allow access to the catch without having to switch the bulb off.

Strengths:
Very suitable moth trap for beginners and experts alike, Many versions are collapsible and easy to transport.
Weaknesses:
Does not come with a rain cover over bulb. It has a very bright light and may annoy neighbours.
I made a trap based on the Skinner, saving about 40% of the cost of one available from the retailers.
I included a perspex cover on my version to protect the bulb in wet weather.
A timer added to the electrics enables you to run the trap throughout the hours of darkness or be selective; whatever you choose.
I see no reason why an actinic lamp could not be used instead of an MV on this model.
