Strengths:
decent ammount of light , relitively long battery life , remote control
Weaknesses:
relatively expensive
This is a decent well made bit of kit which throws a good circle of light , easily enough to light up a tent or caravan. I was also impressed with the remote control which means you can turn the light off without leaving your sleeping bag - however the remote function does decrease battery life by about 20% if left switched on all the time
The latern has a charger for mains and one for the car both of which come as standard.
all round a good bit of kit to be recomended for camping or for back up in a power cut

Strengths:
Lights up everything for miles
Weaknesses:
Extremely heavy
It weighs a ton so not a backpackers tool. It's claimed to float, although i haven't tested that claim. Runs for about 7 hours non stop. Can be charged from mains or car. It has three diodes that glow green for fully charged, yellow for almost flat, and red for charging ok. The green on mine has never worked even after a weeks charging. If held low it's an ideal tool for walking and nothing else. It needs to be held high for it to do the job of a lightbulb because the skirt around the top blocks most of the light shining upwards. For outside use it's a campsite or garden camping tool. I use mine for night time country walking with my camera because it's awesome in that roll. Mine was made in China and had another long forgotten name. I've had it for about ten years now and the battery refuses to fully charge, only about three quater charge.
