Think of this German Mil. Sleeping Bag as a 2-in-1 buy.
It's a Sleeping Bag and a jacket. Besides having sleeves, it has a zipper in the middle that allows the base to be unzipped and folded back for use as a jacket. It also has a waterproof rubberized nylon cover with quilted nylon lining and hood.
Measures approx. 72inch with the hood and is 31inch wide at the widest point.

Strengths:
sleves ! , very warm
Weaknesses:
bulky
This unusual sleeping bag with sleeves takes a bit of getting used to , but has proved itself very useful over the 5 or so years I have owned it
Originally designed by the german millitary for use by snipers it is equally useful for wildlife photographers in cold hides , but also has a range of other uses such as reading , making a brew, etc without leaving the warmth of your doss bag. Back in the days when I had a landrover with a defective heater I even wore mine while driving on cold winter mornings! (also great for nights round a campfire etc)
There is also an MOD version but I couldnt find a supplier for that so it may be discontinued
The sole supplier of these in the uk is "surplus and adventure"
There is only a limited stock of these surplus each year so as the nights start to draw in I would reccomend you get in quick and get one now
