The Expedition 4 is a compact, feature-rich pack for any photographic outing. This high-mobility pack offers foam-padded protection and quick access to an SLR, lenses, flash and accessories. The main compartment is completely foam padded with numerous adjustable, foam-padded dividers to protect a digital or film SLR, 4-6 lenses (including a 70-200mm zoom), and a flash. The camera with a zoom lens attached is suspended on two vertical, foam-padded dividers that are internally reinforced with rigid plastic.
A restraint strap holds the lens firmly in place. Two Windowpane-Mesh pockets inside the front flap visibly organize filters, film and other accessories. A plastic, foam-padded platform in the bottom provides shock protection while a LockDown rain flap protects the zipper from the elements. The front pocket holds extra gear and features a water-resistant zipper.

Strengths:
Very well made, plenty of pockets, comfortable, waterproofed, easy to reconfigure interior
Weaknesses:
Strange everybody seems to bang on about Lowepro, which I do like too, but Tamrac never seems to get a mention as far as bags go. I however really rate this brand and model.
It is exteremly comfortable, even under heavy loads, has plenty of room, accepting the 30D with 100-400 lens (and more), has plenty of scope to reconfigure the interior, with the many vecro'd compartment seperators provided, has dozens of pockets, is waterproofed and is well made. The colours are not bright, so it is unlikely to be offputting to wildlife and the MAS system allows for further articles to be attached to the bag, such as a water bottle holder and a battery pocket.
What more do you want from a bag?

I have the Expeditiion 5 which is slightly larger, but its everything Boddies says about the 4.
The only thing I can't get on with is the tripod holder. I have a Slik Master Classic with D3 head which 28" closed. If I put the legs in the "tripod pocket" it sticks up about 15" above the pack or the same amount down if I don't use the pocket. A minor bug really.
