Strengths:
Clear photographs and idenitifcation descriptions
Weaknesses:
Lists what you can confuse a fungi with, but doesn't have it in the book to compare.
I picked this up cheaply in a local garden centre and it is my book of choice for taking out into the field with me.
Of course it can't compare to Roger Phillips' book - what can? - but for a handy sized book to take with you and give you a really good idea of what you're looking at it's great.
It has clear photographs and gives an adequate description and a clear guide as to when and where, spore colour etc, as well as whether or not it's edible.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who needs a good field guide - it even has some of the rarer Red Data fungi that you would think a smaller book might omit.

Strengths:
Small size, easy to navigate through in the field, handy size scale on cover
Weaknesses:
Not comprehensive
I agree with Jacky above.
No - its not comprehensive, but will do very nicely as a portable field guide.
To me, being in the field is all about portability, and THIS is one of the clearer, more helpful small books on the market.
Handy size-scale on the cover too, at a reasonable price.

Strengths:
Clear and concise, fungi size is compared to the height of the book.
Weaknesses:
Not comprehensive enough but then it is a pocket size book
I echo the above reviewers, an excellent book for carrying around in the field and it fits into a camera bag easily. Good clear photographs but not comprehensive enough but then it is a pocket sized book.
