Strengths:
Comprehensive, excellent diagrams
Weaknesses:
covers Europe as well
Essential backpack companion for the trepid beachcomber! Very comprehensive and well presented making it very easy to identify little beasties in situ, as well as plenty of good reading around the subject whilst in the comfort of your armchair. The only downside which is common with these type of guides is that it covers Europe, I would have preferred a cut down version just dedicated to British Shores, however its small enough to chuck in your holiday bag should you go to Europe. I highly recommend this book if you have even a passing interest in the sea life and fauna around Britain.
