A medium sized pale-brown fungus that has a branching or tufted body found growing on soil, either solitary or in groups in coniferous woodland.
Infrequent from Summer till early Autumn.
On soil in coniferous woodland.
The fruitbody is initially ochraceous then pallid brown with age, repeatedly branching into cylindrical forked, pointed tips that arise from a single stem.
Fibrous, white, firm and soft.
Stout, finely downy and white.
Inedible.
