Description: 
A parasitic rust fungus which attacks (chiefly) Senecio vulgaris (Common Groundsel) and Senecio squalidus (Oxford Ragwort). Originally described from Australia, it arrived in England in 1961 and spread rapidly thereafter. The cluster-cups of the aecial stage are characteristic.
Habitat: 
Arable land, urban and ruderal habitats
Micro Habitat: 
Parasitic on Senecio vulgaris (Common Groundsel) and Senecio squalidus (Oxford Ragwort), and (rarely) on seveal related hosts.
