This Sparrowhawk swooped down to snatch a Greenfinch that was having a bath. I was taking photos of the finch when I caught a slight movement out of the corner of my eye only to see this hawk come swooping in and land right on the greenfinch. He sat there there for about a minute looking right at us from no more than about 15 feet away before taking off and flying back to a large Oak tree close by with his prize.

He was so close I struggled to get him in the viewfinder - this is an uncropped shot
