Thanks digi, Alan! I'm really pleased to hear you say that on this one , you don't know how much grief this Jay gave me LOL!
I was watching him for three weeks , and every time I thought i'd got him sussed he'd change the time he came to feed, i'd be left sitting in the hide sighing.
Finally he came and gave me 6 good shots before leaving. I drilled a hole in the V of this branch and packed it with nuts

Boy I'm envious of that shot. I have never got close to getting an image at all, never mind one as good as this.
You certainly put the time in and you richly deserve the resulting excellent image.

that is a really nice shot. I agree, I very rarely see jays let alone close enough to get a shot like that. Well done.

Amazing...i clicked on this as i thought hmmm? what is that...jaylike bird with more vivid colour ? stunning...ive never seen one with this much red colour before !
