This is the green form of the Elephant Hawk-moth. Apparently some, but not all, green ones turn brown before they pupate. The person who found them asked "Are they dangerous?"

This green Elephant Hawkmoth is extremely well camouflaged against the leafy background - they do excite a lot of interest if you find one.
