aeshna Wild Member Registered: July 2006 Posts: 132	Photographed at Lancaster 28.07.06. Lucky enough to live near a place where these rare migrants turned up. It's the first time I've seen Yellow-winged and I was not dissapointed. A very approachable darter, compared with Red-veined!

it looks sort of brown red rather than sort of bright scarlet red, is that how they look in the flesh?

Hi

they are a vivid red, the colouration of this male is down to my lack of photoshop editing skills rather than this insect being off colour, something was also lost when I 'shrank' the picture to make it smaller. I'm sure the storage capacity for WAB is finite and the less bandwidth I take now, the more for others and myself later.
