aeshna Wild Member Registered: July 2006 Posts: 132	This is a female Northern Brown Argus. The NBA butterfly in Co. Durham can be quite variable in appearance. This female has the white spot on the forewings with a black dot in the centre.

Beautiful photo, never seen the white spot variety. This would be an ideal pic for the reference section ..... I have done a partial write-up but the photos I have are of the the form from Arnside which lacks the White Spots.
