My first proper sighting of nightingale was the 'goodie' to come out of our weekend visit to Suffolk! I've heard them sing over the years in a variety of southern spots but only ever seen a bright black eye in the middle of a bush or thicket accompanied by the full belt song .........

A brilliant series of pics.

Considering you weren’t too happy with your nightingale shots when i saw you in the week, they have come up absolutely fine. It’s so nice to see this illusive bird up close. Best wishes DC
