Isn't common porecrust Schizopora paradoxa Peter? I think this is referred to as Splitgill. Lovely image regardless of name.

According to 'Recommended English names for fungi in the UK’ A BMS publication

Scizopora paradoxa = Split Porecrust

Schizophyllum commune = Common Porecrust

A bit confusinghaving Porecrust in two genera! I have always called Schizophyllum commune the Split Gill, but in a previous thread I was corrected by Chris Yates for using this name! A name he had not heard of
