Yes, when I saw those eyes together with the unusual antennae and mouth, I though I must get a good shot of this. Luckily it was a rather compliant animal and I managed several angles. But I though this shot with it peeping out from the vegetation looked more dramatic than the full fly angles.



And if the larvae really do eat snails and slugs, how can I tempt them into my garden!
