Nice clean and detailed image Ian. I was particularly impressed with the lack of intrusive flash related reflections.

Amazing image Ian, the detail is fantastic.
I've been close to these and it takes a brave person to poke a lens up to the face of a Hornet (Very painful sting).

thanks guys for all the kind comments, really appreciate it. I've never had a problem with Hornets even around nests. I've always regarded them as gentle giants, hopefully that's not famous last words.
