That's a cracking shot Dave. Lovely against that background. I remember when I visited New Zealand several years ago seeing a fern against a lovely blue sky, but decided I would get a similar photo late. I never did, and wished I'd taken it when I had the opportunity. This super shot reminds me of that famous NZ Fern, hence my little anecdotal tale

I've done similar Jonners, thought "there's no hurry - I can get that shot any time" and then ended up without it. I'm much less inclined to risk it these days!

Great picture - don't think it Bracken though - looks more like Male Fern

Thanks Tiggrx, I do believe you're right and have renamed the image. I tend to call anything large and fern-like bracken - I really must stop doing that!
