While pruning back honeysuckle I discovered this nest which was unoccupied which surprised me at this time of year.
I would love to know whether, as I suspect wasps are responsible, or maybe hornets or even bees. I have to say that we were untroubled by any of the 'suspects and I wonder why they vacated such a beautiful fragile nest. It was facing South if that helps. |
