thanks very much Roger. This one was in pristine condition, which for me is a rare find. They seem to get tatty very quick. For that reason I quite like this shot, but I'm really struggling to get the shot that I'm after. I'm not sure what that shot is, but if I get it I'll Know.

Great shot of a difficult butterfly to find. I've only seen these a couple of times and definitely haven't got the "right" shot yet.

very grateful for the kind comments Wayne and Toby, thankyou. I'm fortunate to have a good sized colony of about 30 at my local patch, but already, most are looking the worse for ware.
