Taken at the Chalton hide Brandon Marsh, Coventry. I've been off work all week with an old back problem, on the plus side it's meant I could sit around in this hide for about 40 hours watching the world go by. Finally today this chap turned up.

thanks very much Toby, Linda, Wayne and Ron for the kind words, really appreciate it. They were a regular sighting from this hide last year, this year you have to put the hours in. Something I'm not very good at.

hiya Bryan, thanks very much for the kind words. There's a good chance we've met, I'm also a regular at whitacre through Winter and Spring. I heard about the wasp nest, went to have a look to see if I could get some shots but it was to overgrown. Heard it's been cut back know, is this true?
