Thanks. It was all I managed to take today, I see things and watch them and forget I have a camera hanging round my neck!

Today I was too busy watching the Kingfishers whizz around, the Long Tailed Tits hopping around the trees and some Greater Crested Grebes deeply engaged in their mating ritual, weeds and all! Have to say, I have not seen the Grebes doing this before so i was fascinated. In all honesty I haven't seen them very close before, I didnt realise how striking they are! They really are lovely!

I was also watching a pair of Coots building their nest. That was very fascinating and quite amusing

Lovely little place is Odney, apart from the noise the Ring Neck Parakeets make! Theres hundreds of them all swarking away in the tops of trees and flying over your heads! Its fun though

Sorry for the essay!

Lucky you Sara seeing a kingfisher, I have only ever seen two, one in Somerset and one in Goa, and to see Ring Necks flying free like they should be instead of in cages must be wonderful.

Yes it is lovely to see the Ring Necks flying as they should be. When the sun is shining on them you can really see how lime green they are!

And as for the Kingfishers, there are a lot here, unless they are all the same one! I was sitting for about half an hour next to a tree and 2 flew past together, one landed right in front of me realised I was there and flew straight off again!
