Didn't see any ghosts Jason but there were some strange noises coming from the woods just behind me - spooky!
Yep, that's Polaris Ben. It's always a good idea to try and get the pole star in frame for star trail shots as it provides such a good focal point.

Thanks all!
Nick, it's thermal underwear and better socks that I need. I was wearing two fleeces and a padded jacket plus a pair of thinsulate gloves so I was nice and toasty up top. It was my bum and feet that froze! Worth it though!
