This is quite small and to me is very attractive but must be poisonous to predators because of the colour.

I think this, actually, might be the Water Ladybird in its 'winter' colouring - the body is quite extended, the spot are fusing and the background colour doesn't look right for 22-spot. Need a blow up to see more details ....
