This juvenile bird was clinging to the side of the tree in the one position allowing me to get closer and closer. I saw one parent and heard both calling from round about. I passed on to leave it in peace and it was still there on my return journey. I always find the adults difficult to approach. I have snapped one in a park but have not had much success in the 'wild'. This one was probably even more frightened of flying than me. Funnily enough, I did snap a 'wild' one the very next morning but at a longer than ideal range.
