A close up of the moss you've probably all got growing in your lawn (mine's almost entirely made up of this one). This specimen is very damp, it's usually slightly yellow when dry, got a red stem underneath all the leaves and the leaves bend sharply at near right angles (that's what squarrosus means) to give a barbed wire like appearance.
