Really good photo and even more impressive when i realised taken through glass! I only said tonight that I have never seen so many woodpeckers in garden as there has been this year but I have not managed any good photos like you only bit video!!

Nice shot, well caught. Always worth taking a chance through the window if it means getting a shot like this.

Thanks very much for the comments, I was pleased as I normally find it difficult shooting through glass. He did seem a bit scruffy which was a shame, their colours can be stunning!
