Taken at Crossness Southern Marsh's, Near Thamesmead, London.

Once the news went out a few of us chased round trying to find it as the directions on the pager was bad. When we did find it late on the 30.05.07 it stayed around for a few days more, with well over 1000 birders from the U.K. coming to see the 1st London record for 144 years !!

Very well captured Mick, I have no idea on its rarity or how many are in the country. It is not in my RSPB book of birds so I must assume not very common in England let alone London. Very well done on your perseverance and dedication to get such a good result, it does look an attractive bird especially the head.

Mick whatever hardship this shot caused you it was well worth it this is a very good shot of a stunning bird (massive feet) well done.
