i have just posted a shot of the red variety of these for I.D.

according to susie

"All my gardening books are packed but I did a quick google and I think you will find it is a Siberian Crabapple Malus baccata - usually known as a Cherry Apple.



I had both the ones with red and yellow fruit (but I was never brave enough to eat them!)."
