Thanks Helen, I spot metered on the brightest part of the image then bracketed a set of shots to both +1 & -1 ev, this shot was actually the one at 0, so I need not have bothered!

Stunning photograph..............I know that a photo of a sunset is nowhere as good as actually seeing it, so I should imagine that seeing that sunset was something special.................Jon
