Thanks John, this was my first attempt at photographing lightening using the bulb setting on my slr, I made a few mistakes along the way, ie this was the only half decent image on the roll of film!!

More luck than judgement if I'm honest, I got seriously wet & my family thought I'd lost the plot for standing outside in weather like that, but it was worth it, I'd been trying to capture an image like this for years.
Now all I've got to do is get an image like it with a digital
