It's 1 month since I last saw a Snow Bunting (They are abundant on the Norfolk beach of Salthouse; sometimes in excess of 25 birds there, Ive seen 19-21 (Varied Counts) there on my best day, but I sometimes count round the 16, 17, 18 mark on a good day, and you say you saw this in a flock of 20 there).



From my experience the one you've photographed is a first year male, I twitched one of these much further inland in hertfordshire to add to my Herts List. Adult males are the best though, although if you are looking for a mixture of tones and colours juveniles are the nicest (They have the orangey colouring; adult males are just a very contrasting and eye aching black and white).
