well worth going back southcoastcowboy as the kingfisher is a bird of habit and will return to the same spot on a regular basis

Thanks Kev,
I will definately be going back there. The hide is a good old trek from the road, so when I build up some more steam, I will go back. The Kingfisher is a bird that has always interested me, but until a couple of weeks ago I had never been this close to one. I did try a flight shot while it was hovering, but its not good enough to post.
