Think it is an Agaricus but which one.

Growing in Woodland with mainly Oak and Beech. Cap dia.3.5cm, Stem Ht.4cm

Also I'm not sure that agaricus ever has white gills - even when they are as new to the open air as this one. . . dunno I maybe wrong here?

Hi PMG



A few of the Agaricus have white or cream gills at puberty changing through pink to brown etc. arvensis, bisporus to name a couple.

However, latest thinking on this one is an Amanita looking at the basal bulb with volval rim, Citrina v.alba is a possibility but the stem colour and scales on lower stem do not look right.
