A great shot of a fantastic looking animal.
Focal length 60mm? Was he really that close?

Hi Toby, yep he was really that close. We were walking along a path between a wood a lake. He was just peering through the clearing on my right, looking at us. I thought he was a stuffed one at first or a cardboard cut out as he was so still!

Almost Monarch of the Glen stuff Mully. I've managed to see one completely wild stag before but from a long distance when I was a youngster visiting my Grand Parents up in the hills near Muir of Ord just north of Beauly and Inverness, Scotland. My Grandfather pointed him out to me. How nice for you to see them so close I think I'd have been too excited to get a good shot and then been annoyed with myself all the way home . Beautiful set of Pics
