Out for a walk this evening after work 'chillin out'. Shattered nerves now calm again. This one made my day. He/she was watching us from a track in the crops made by a farm vehicle. we were about forty to fifty feet away. and we just sat and stared at each other. Truly a magic moment for Jen and I, our first close encounter with a beautiful fox. out in the middle of nowhere. Awesome. More please.

Love the way he/she is peering out at you, a fantastic experience for you both.

Yipee , great stuff Geoff, isn't it a truly lovely feeling being so close to a fox. I am thrilled to bits for you and Jen . Your first encounter with this fox will stay with you forever. And what a top shot it is too, lovely lovely photograph. Very well done Hope you see him/her again very soon.

Thanks very much guys for your kind comments . We've lived on the edge of a village for thirty odd years now and we've seen many foxes over the years, but always from great distances, the poor things were that frightened at the sight of a human that they would sculk away into the undergrowth not to be seen again. But this is the closest we have been to one (that knew we were there) thats why it was so special. It did'nt appear to be intimidated by us staring at him/her and we stood for close to fifteen minutes staring at one another, in the end we moved slowly away to leave him/her to go about it's business the last sight we had he/she was still watching us. Jen's quite tiny and could only see the foxes ears , so had to wait till we got home bless . needless to say I drove the long way home . Thanks again, I think I need to spend more time out there with the camera. so my posts might be a bit thin for a while, bit like my hair . Cheers guys your the best. Hope to catch up with your post in a bit.
