I was walking down a footpath between two large fields used for horse grazing when I heard a crash up ahead and this young buck sprang away from almost under my feet.

Similar thing happened to me recently sittingfox but I was'nt quick enough. it now takes us twice as long to walk our normal routes because we tip toe every where and peak round every corner, don't half get some funny looks . well done all the same.

Ha, my brain first said wow and then camera! So I started shooting almost instinctively and then realised that it was on the landscape mode that I'd been using a few seconds previously Fortunately the deer stayed in view long enough for me to switch to sports focus mode and the much faster shutter speed.

Then I went around a corner and saw a sparrowhawk gliding around overhead. Those were some crazy few minutes.
