I found this at the RSPB reserve at Arne, Dorset in a tree hole. I went back just over a month later to see how things were developing only to find that someone had put a wood plug in the hole and the whole nest had been destroyed. The staff had put tape around the area to warn people but they had no idea that this had happened. A child had got stung a few weeks earlier so I am not sure what really happened but it was a pity that this happens on a reserve.
