View of the once many gantries that went from the dockside buildings (left) to the warehouses on the right. Butlers Wharf once specialised in the imports of tea from India and then Ceylon. Reason for the gantries was to avoid the congestion of the busy streets below, now to have the gantries for private houses, what I liked more was the new use and the palms in the posts.
