St Fagans is an open-air museum situated in Cardiff, it is one of Wales's popular heritage attractions.

It stands within the grounds of St.Fagans Castle, a late 16th-century manor house donated to the people of Wales by the Earl of Plymouth.

Beautifully kept gardens surround the Castle including an Italian Garden and a thyme garden, huge fish ponds, complete with lily-pads, fountains, a mulberry grove, vinery and and a beautiful rosery..

Also one of the few lucky places to have roosting lesser horseshoe bats each summer!

I should take more of gardens, they are a big part of our country and are enjoyed by many people. Super colours. You have also managed to take it without people walking all over the place.

Nice image Lisa, I went here for the first time this year, looks like you had a lot better weather than I did.

Thank you all..

Richard, all i can do is enjoy other peoples gardening talents, i am useless at it myself..haha..I would love to have green fingers!

Gracie i was loitering for ages waiting for a clear shot and Lee you were saying about the weather .. sore point, this was the first ten minutes, just after i took this there appeared above a huge black cloud..downpour is putting it mildly, it didn't let up either, hence the reason for just one photo, and a few not so great shots of huge trees hahaa we were using them to hide under until such time as we could make a dash for it .. Oh well..another day!
